A spooktacular scavenger hunt where you and your family/friends will embark on a fun clue solving experience. Each location you visit will unlock one mystical ingredient to complete a powerful spell of protection and good fortune.
Hunters will visit 13 locations in historic Salem, Massachusetts, home of the famous witch trials, while solving the riddles provided to them. They will receive a link to their cell phone. They will need a cell phone with plenty of battery life.
You are encouraged to take photos and email them to owner@salemsscavengerhunt.com. Once reviewed they may be added to our "gallery" and other social media platforms.
The cost of this adventure is $24.99 for up to three players. One person will purchase the hunt. That person will receive an email which includes a Hunt Code to download their team's Hunt onto one phone. From there, the original player who downloaded the hunt can add up to 2 additional teammate's phones to their hunt.
Up to 3 players can use the ClueKeeper app to play on the same team. After the original player purchases and downloads the hunt, tap the Options Menu and choose Add Team Member to add another player's ClueKeeper user name or Guest-number (shown in their ClueKeeper app). Make sure your phones have plenty of battery life.

What is unique about Salem’s Scavenger Hunt?
It is the only self-guided adventure in Salem. You get to decide what time it starts. You get to decide if you want to pause for lunch or dinner or if you want to take some time to visit attractions in Salem that you find along your way.
How long will Salem’s Scavenger Hunt take to complete?
It takes most people who play straight through about 45-60 minutes to complete the hunt. That said, feel free to pause along the way.
How long do I have to complete Salem’s Scavenger Hunt?
You have 24 hours to complete the hunt so if you get a late start and want to finish the next day or want to stop for a meal, etc. you are free to do so.
How should I dress for Salem’s Scavenger Hunt?
Check the weather. Many of the shops sell ponchos and/or umbrellas in the event of inclement weather. We recommend comfortable shoes, there are cobblestone streets and small hills.
What do I need to do the Scavenger Hunt?
You will need a cell phone. Make sure its fully charged. Once you have a link, it will remain on the phone it was sent to.
What if I don’t get the answer right the first time?
You can make as many attempts as necessary to get it right. You won’t be able to move on to the next clue/riddle until you get the answer the witch needs for her spell.
Can I bring my furry friend?
Yes, dogs, kitties and llamas (among other animals) are welcome for the purposes of Salem’s Scavenger Hunt. That said, there may be certain businesses that are party poopers and don’t allow our furry friends to come in.
Can I use Salem’s Scavenger Hunt to organize a party?
Yes our scavenger hunt is great great for bachelor/bachelorette parties, team building, birthday parties or just a couple of friends out for the day or night.
